    Play Therapy

Child-centered play therapy uses play (the natural language of children) and the therapeutic relationship to provide a safe, consistent environment. This enables a kiddo to experience full acceptance, empathy, and understanding and to process inner experiences and feelings through play and symbols. The big picture of play therapy is to empower the child to befriend all the parts of themselves. (Center for Play Therapy)

CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia)

For so many of us, sleep (or the lack of it) is an underrated and often chronic problem. Trained by the University of Pennsylvania Behavior Sleep team, we offer CBT-I specifically for insomnia and other sleep issues. CBT-I is considered the first line of treatment for insomnia, with halo effects in anxiety, depression, post-partum issues, and peri/post-menopause.

  • Couples Therapy

Couples therapy at Wild Oak offers a steady, compassionate space to slow down and make sense of the patterns that keep pulling you apart. We work with couples who care deeply but feel stuck in cycles of conflict, distance, or mis-attunement. Using a relational, trauma-informed approach, we help partners better understand their nervous systems, name the old wounds showing up in the relationship, and practice new ways of reaching for one another with clarity and care. This work is not about blame or fixing one person; instead, it’s about strengthening connection, rebuilding trust, and creating a relationship that feels more grounded, responsive, and alive.
