I’m Kaitlyn, a licensed master social worker (LMSW) in Austin, Texas, providing warm, trauma-informed therapy for couples, young adults, individuals, and families navigating anxiety, grief, emotional regulation challenges, identity development, and life transitions. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, steady place where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on you.
My approach is relational and developmentally attuned, honoring the ways our experiences, relationships, and nervous systems shape how we move through the world. I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, coping skills, and self-trust, always at a pace that feels respectful and supportive.
I especially enjoy working with:
Couples seeking deeper connection, improved communication, and repair after conflict or disconnection
Older teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, big emotions, or changes at home or school
Adults navigating identity development, self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm
Clients processing grief or loss, including changes that don’t always have clear words
LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults exploring identity, self-expression, and belonging in an affirming space
I have a special interest in working with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners better understand one another’s emotional needs, strengthen attachment, and repair patterns that leave them feeling stuck, disconnected, or caught in repeated conflict. EFT offers a compassionate, structured way to rebuild trust, deepen connection, and move toward more secure, responsive relationships.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from The University of Southern California and approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique story. Outside of sessions, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, spending time with my family (and my two dogs), or hosting a game night with friends. I believe joy, play, and real connection are not just extras; they’re essential to healing, and I strive to bring that spirit into our work together.
